I walk my dogs each morning, and I can’t help telling them, out loud, how beautiful the red/orange/fuschia/ginger sun-ball is just before it rises fully above the horizon.
I start my day JOYFUL. How can one not be, being part of the morning experience, the world waking up?
And I am grateful for the joy too. I am grateful that my mind is clear enough to be able to focus on beauty. I know that so many minds are filled with the turmoil of trying to survive, and beauty, or the appreciation of it, is far removed from their reality.
And I am reminded to be grateful for that too – that I can focus on beauty during this time of distress for so many.
